Dukampos Semi-Open Species Ref, Part 1

Description

The first ref sheet for my new species, Dukampos! As of right now, they are semi-open meaning that you can make one, but please ask ahead of time, just so I can make sure it's sort of fitting with the lore and such. (Simply put, MYO's are free, but can generally only have common traits. An uncommon trait or two might be ok, maybe even a rare, but certainly no all-rare ones as I don't want an overabundance of rare traits out there.)
Official Dukampos Group: :icondukampos-biome:

If you already own a Dukampos:
~Breeding is fine, go nuts
~Do whatever you want for personality
~Reselling is totally ok, I don't mind.

If you want a Dukampos:
I often sell eggs with rare and uncommon traits, keep an eye out!
Customs are also open, feel free to send me a note for pricing and such.
MYO's are free, but I do not have a base made up just yet, and I'd prefer if there were primarily common/uncommon traits as I don't want the "rare" to be more prevalent than the common.

Lore: Dukampos are based off of a mixture of seahorses and deer, and contain a few traits to each. They have long legs, and an odd elongated mouth, which constantly spews smoke or gas depending on what the Dukampos in question eats. Upon birth, a Dukampos has two heads but no traits beyond that. Any traits or markings are gained as the Dukampos grows older, and colorations and such vary greatly from individuals as it is based almost entirely upon what they eat. Upon birth, the Dukampos has about a week to find something edible in the area in which it has hatched, so there may be packs of Dukampos which eat vines, fish, lava, etc depending on the concentration in the area. Dukampos have also been known to eat immaterial "foods" such as dreams, nightmares, light, etc, but this is less common than a physical item such as rocks or lizards.
Both heads are fully sentient, the tail-mouth chooses the foods to eat and quickly devours them, while the main head exhales any waste from the consumed item. Eaten materials are broken down in the belly, which is generally engorged, and is turned into gas or smoke as a waste product. Holes on the main head allow for air intake, and the long necks allow the Dukampos to have a wide range of movement. Dukampos are exceedingly adaptable, which allows them to live in a variety of environments, and their ranges spread from the most hostile of deserts, to even corrosive nuclear environments. Where an egg is hatched has much to do with what type of Dukampos will grow up into, as they are forced to find food within their general area and will not change food types upon maturity. Attempting to consume a type of food beyond the type they have chosen will cause illness, and in rare cases, even death. In times of starvation, substitutes can be made, but they by no means nourish a Dukampos as well as their main food would and a Dukampos forced to eat food only similar to their type will die within a few months. (Example: A fish-eating Dukampos being forced to eat crab, or a gold-eating Dukampos being forced to eat silver)

Average height: 3ft to 8ft at the withers, with the average around 5ft or so.

Weight: Due to the variety of "foods" Dukampos may eat, it varies from diet to diet. A rock-based diet may yield a large Dukampos weighing around a ton, while one that eats immaterial things such as dreams may weigh as little as 60lbs.

Genders: Females are slightly rarer than males, with the sex ratios hovering around 30% female and 70%male. Females are characterized by some sort of orb or spike "necklace" around their necks, though larger decorations may also grow depending on diet. The "necklace" may also form around the neck of the tailmouth, though this is less common than one around the main neck.

Intelligence: Despite their more feral looks, Dukampos are generally rather intelligent, and the tailmouths may be capable of learning coherant speech. Main mouths communicate by making loud 'scree' sounds by blowing air through the holes on their snouts, but tailmouths with less monsterous shaped mouths are occasionally perfectly coherant with humanoid speech, though a bit more gravely sounding than a humanoid voice. Overall, their IQ's generally hover around the 90-120 range, which  allows for complex cultures and family groups to arise.

Mating: Dukampos are primarily heterosexual, and require male and female organs in order to reproduce. The main head is generally regarded as the primary sex, while the tailmouth may embody an alternative gender, depending on the personality of the tailmouth. Reproduction results in a nest of 1 to 4 eggs, and upon hatching, the babies are left to fend for their own until they have decided on a chosen food. Upon choosing a food, the young Dukampos will feast for a period of 5 to 8 weeks until clear traits begin to appear, and then they will go off to group with others of a similar type. (Ex: A fish-eating Dukampos with a water-eating Dukampos, or a bone-eating Dukampos with a carcass-eating Dukampos)

Traits:
Ears: Ears may take a multitude of shapes, though fur within the ear is rare. The most common are thin-elflike ears or larger batlike styles.

Eyes: Dukampos may have anywhere from 0 to 10 eyes, though the majority have a total of four. Symmetry is not necessarily a norm, though Dukampos with uneven numbers of eyes or eyes grouped all together on one side of the head are considered rather unconventional and less attractive. There are a variety of pupil shapes, though one Dukampos may only show two different types total, with the main head having one set, and the tailmouth having another set. Tailmouths may have a different number of eyes than the main head, and this is by no means uncommon.

Wings: Dukampos do not generally require wings, as they are generally too small to be used, but they may be used in complex courtship rituals or other culture-specific acts. In extremely rare occasions, extremeties such as tentacles or vines may sprout, but this is generally considered to be an abnormality.

Horns: Horns are generally exclusive to the tailmouth side of things, with the primarily placement being near the back of the skull. Horns may take a variety of shapes, and it is not uncommon to see a combination of long and straight with small and curved. Horns generally group in sets of two, though uncommon numbers are not unheard of. In extremely rare cases, horns may be present on the main head, though often times they are rather short and stubby compared to the ones on the tailmouth.

Feet: The feet of a Dukampos are long and hard, and are shaped specifically to give off excess heat from the digestion chamber. The legs may take a variety of shapes, the most common being some feathering or altering around the ankle, with abberations spreading up to the knee or shoulder joint being rather uncommon or rare. In rare cases, the feet of a Dukampos may be cold instead of hot, and will generally liquify into a jelly-like substance which is trailed along as the Dukampos walks. Alternatively, the heat may be so extreme, that the feet of the Dukampos melt and leave behind lava-like substances, though this is only in extreme cases. On rare occasions, there may also be gradients upon the feet of the Dukampos, but generally they are a one or two solid colors.

Misc: Spines or spikes are often present on the bodies of the Dukampos, and often erupt as a result of metal or rock based diets. Feathering or jelly-like protrubences are also possible, though are generally present in liquid or immaterial based diets. The patterns upon a Dukampos vary greatly from individual to individual, and colors can vary greatly even within Dukampos which have similar diets. Dukampos will occasionally have glowing eyes or bellies, though this is quite rare.

Am I able to make one? It seems pretty cool and would like to make one for my own! <3
